ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR Rich Marantz
|
|  | Rich Marantz is the director and instructor of Green Mountain Tai chi in Manchester, Vermont and has taken his passion for Taoist philosophy and Chinese internal Martial Arts and created classes, programs and workshops that promote lasting health improvement. His love of sharing the benefits of Tai Chi and Qigong results in a down-to-earth, step-by-step and easy-to-understand style of teaching.
Rich is certified in the instruction of Tai chi, Qigong and is an External-Qi Healer, having undertaken intensive international trainings with master teachers of the sacred Taoist healing arts. He is currently a high-level teaching student of Yun Xiang Tseng (Master Chen) of Wudang Mountain, considered the physical and spiritual sanctuary and primary center for internal Martial Arts, Tai chi and Qigong training in China. |
He is a member of the North American Wudang Taoist Association and a 26th generation Wudang Long Men lineage holder as certified by Master Chen. Rich is trained in Taoist life philosophy and self-defense, using movement for healing chronic pain, stress and illness and cultivating inner energy through meditation and healthy lifestyle strategies.
Rich has been professionally teaching students since 1996. His teaching experience includes: speaking and training students in corporate wellness programs, academia, senior centers, substance abuse and mental health institutions, spiritual retreats, medical clinics, self-defense classes to young adults, and offers ongoing beginner and advanced classes in the Manchester, Vermont area through his school.
Rich is currently conducting a variety of fun, interactive and health inspiring group Tai chi programs for organizations looking to add value to their employees, members and customers. His warm, engaging and down-to-earth speaking style had made him a popular speaker in the Southern Vermont area.“My mission in teaching Tai Chi is to see participants get inspiration, energy and learn practical ways to regain control of their health concerns and as a result, experience greater ease and joy in life.
I became passionate about the Taoist healing arts after overcoming my own debilitating back injury that left me unable to work, depressed and shuffling from doctor to doctor. I was able to take control of my life and regain optimal health and true happiness through the application and study of TaicChi exercises and study of Taoist wisdom.”
